Is Your Child Spending More Time on Screens Than Outside?

Today's children are growing up in a world where screens are a part of nearly every aspect of daily life. While technology brings many benefits, it has also reduced opportunities for the kind of unstructured outdoor play that helps children develop emotionally, socially, and physically.

Many parents are noticing the effects—shorter attention spans, increased anxiety, emotional outbursts, difficulty focusing, and less time spent using imagination and creativity. Finding the right balance can feel overwhelming, especially when technology has become such a normal part of childhood.

The good news is that nature offers a simple, research-backed way to help restore that balance.

In this free guide, you'll learn why spending time outdoors supports a child's developing brain and nervous system, and how small, intentional changes can make a meaningful difference.

About Me:

Your Partner in Progress

Hey! I’m Aubrey Schmalle, an occupational therapist and author with over 20 years of experience helping children who are neurodiverse and struggling in a world that wasn't built for them. As a specialist in sensory integration and learning, I look at the unique way that each child takes in the world from their senses and learns how to adapt to meet the demands of the world around them. I created the Body Activated LearningTM Framework and Handbook so others can use my approach to build the foundations for learning, problem solving, emotional resilience, and independence.

As the presence of the digital world has continued to expand, more and more children struggle with managing their emotions. Rather than learning skills for adaptability and resilience, children are drawn into a world of “done for you” technology with quick rewards. Now they are experiencing more health problems, more mental health issues, more social difficulties, and more struggles with learning than ever before.

It is my hope that, as a village, we can work together to help this neurodiverse digital generation succeed!
