ABOUT THE BOOK
Technology is here to stay—but it doesn’t have to control your family.
STOP TELLING ME TO LIMIT SCREENTIME offers a fresh perspective for modern parents.
This isn’t another book about how to take screens away or set stricter limits. Instead, it’s about helping kids develop healthy habits and success skills they’ll carry with them for life. It shares practical, guilt-free ideas to balance technology with real-life connection, learning, and growth.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Aubrey Schmalle, OTR/L is a speaker and author of the Body Activated Learning Framework for enhancing attention and engagement in the classroom.
As a sensory integrative occupational therapist specializing in evaluating and treating children with complex neurosensory profiles, she has become increasingly passionate about supporting children and young adults growing up in a digital world. The digital world is having a significant impact on their health, brain development, ability to learn, attention, emotional well being, social connection, and future success in life. Children and young adults with complex neurosensory profiles are at significantly higher risk for experiencing the negative impact of screens and technology since many of them struggle with these issues at baseline.
Aubrey’s continuing education seminars are designed to raise awareness; shift the lens through which parents, educators, and other professionals view the behaviors and struggles of this generation; and provide tools and strategies to rebalance the relationship between screen time and movement to help children and young adults succeed in a digital world.
